Depthpool Privacy
Depthpool runs small, invite-only pools for groups of friends. This page explains what it keeps and why.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, from Google sign-in or email sign-in.
- If you sign in with Google, your Google profile photo link and account ID.
- Your IP address and browser type for each sign-in, kept for security.
- The display name and entry names you choose.
- Your picks, results, and pool activity.
Depthpool uses cookies to keep you signed in and to hold an invitation until you sign in. Your browser also remembers which results you’ve revealed.
How it’s used
Only to run the pool: signing you in, showing standings to members of your pool, and recording results. We don’t sell your information or show ads. We share it only with the services that run Depthpool: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sign-in emails), Google (if you sign in with Google), TVmaze (castaway photos, which receives your IP address and browser type but never your name, email, or picks), YouTube (season videos, only when you tap to play one), and Anthropic (AI tools used to maintain Depthpool).
Who can see what
Other members of your pool see your display name, entry names, and picks once picks lock, if the pool shows picks. The commissioner can also see each pick as it’s made, and any buy-back requests. Nobody outside your pool sees this through Depthpool.
Keeping and deleting
Your information stays as long as your account does. Email privacy@depthpool.com and I’ll remove your account at the end of the season, or sooner if you’re not in a pool. Deleted accounts stay in daily backups for up to 7 days.
